* Full description of the monitor issue?
On start up, the monitor seems to have problems with receiving or processing a DisplayPort signal from my PC. To begin with it receives nothing and stays in power saving mode, then when the Windows logo appears before the log in screen it with briefly awaken and show the logo, but will then go back into power saving mode and show nothing. This did not used to be the case, the problem has only developed over the last week, I purchased the monitor a little under a month ago and before the issue developed it would wake on start up and show all the boot process.
The only "fix" I have found is to remove the DisplayPort cable from the PC and then connect the PC to the monitor via HDMI (this will show a picture, but it will be shrunk on the monitor, with the image not filling the screen, but will be the correct resolution), then reconnecting the DisplayPort cable and removing the HDMI cable, sometimes I will have to repeat this process as the resolution from the DisplayPort cable will be a lot lower than 1080p.
Other info:
I made no changes to either my PC or the monitor when the issue started.
I have made sure my graphics card drivers are up to date.
There are no issues with other inputs (i.e. games consoles via HDMI).
The time of manufacture on the monitor is April 2014.
The problem could possibly be related to how long the monitor is off, it always occurs after being off overnight, but the problem wasn't as bad (it stayed on from the Windows logo) after being off for around 5 minutes during the day.
