I am using a U3014 monitor since April. Right from the beginning the USB 3.0 ports would behave erratically, i.e. they would disconnect after a few seconds of any copy activity, regardless of direction (up or download). So whenever I would connect my thumb drive or an external HD the device will get recognised promptly but as soon as any copy operation takes place the monitor disconnects. It seems to not be able to handle anything bigger than 1Mb at a time and at significant intervals. Afterwards, the only way to re-enable the ports is to disconnect the cable and then reconnect it.
The USB hub is connected to my T3610 Win7/64 Ultimate computer with the Dell supplied cable. The monitor is also connected to a Radeon R9 270 card via the Dell supplied mini DP cable. There is one other USB device on the monitor, disconnecting it does not bring a change in behavior. The same goes for all the different USB 3.0 ports on my computer, i.e. it doesn't matter which PC port the monitor connects to.
Naturally all aforementioned USB 3.0 devices work perfectly with the ports on the computer.
My monitor is Rev A03 and the S/N is CN-0P1V6N-74445-388-172L.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
