I have one U2412M monitor with a few dead pixels and, so far, I have not been able to get a warranty replacement.
There is no order number associated with the monitor because I purchased it directly through Amazon. I was told this would not impact the 3-year warranty when I purchased these monitors in January '14.
I do have a serial number, a copy of my Amazon order, etc. I am not sure I should be copying those into this post but I can email it to a Dell representative.
Is there a specific person i can contact at Dell regarding this issue that is already familiar with the process for warranty replacements when monitors are ordered via Amazon? I have already called in and tried to start a chat session ... and was unable to get help without giving the individual a non-existent service tag associated with my non-existent home built PC.
