PS3 won't work with U3014

I have quite a strange problem.

Niether a PS3 slim nor a PS3 super slim works with the U3014 via HDMI.  Although the U3014 detects the HDMI cable and the PS3 being powered on/off, it stays on a black screen.

I have swapped the HDMI cable - same result.

I have tried the PS3s on a different 1080P TV and it worked.

I have used the HDMI output of my PC GPU to display to the U3014 - it worked fine.  

I have tried resetting both PS3s - i.e. holding the power button until it double-beeps.  Doesn't change anything.

Any idea what is going on?
