Hi. I have a simple Dell monitor, model # E173FPI. It only has a VGA out. I and trying to hook it up to my Dell Alienware D01X. I purchased a VGA to DVI adapter but the monitor doesn't respond when I turn on the computer. The monitor is on because the self-test is bouncing around. I tried both DVI ports. I don't know what to try next. Would a VGA to USB adapter work?
