Hello
I have seen this come up several times on this forum and others, and in a few reviews (after I purchased). I have 5 U2414h monitors, I intended on using them as 2 sets of 2 paired with Microsoft Surface Pro 3 i5 and i7 models with the latest intel integrated video cards
Initially this was working fine, I was able to get 1080p in both Dell monitors plus higher resolution for the SP3. However, shortly after the 30 day period expired on my monitors I have run into massive issues with DP 1.2 functionality. It lags when I restart the PC. Now intermittently it will not display the 2nd monitor, or it will not display the 1st monitor (less frequent) or it will not display either.
Power cycling the monitors fixes the problem sometimes, not others. So far, power cycling, unplugging all DP cables, and reconnecting them with the #1 monitor now #2 and vise versa seems to fix the problem temporarily. It does not occur each time the computer sleeps or restarts, simply lasts about a day then stops working. When working it is fine, no issues with color, resolution etc.
There was no particular windows update or driver update that has triggered this process. I have the latest Dell drivers, but the DDM does not recognize them for some reason (even when everything is working as expected)
HDMI works fine. But I did not buy these monitors for HDMI.
I have called tech support several times and have gotten no where with this. They seem to be completely unaware of any DP issues, despite the fact that the internet is littered with many different DP issues with these monitors. I need these for my small business. Is there any time line for fixing/replacing these monitors, can they be fixed with a driver update or is it a physical problem?
I don't want to waste $1300 worth of monitors but its costing me so much productivity that's the next step And certainly not a Dell.
Any help appreciated
