* Full description of the monitor issue?

Monitor is unbearable at times to look at which is causing headaches/eye soreness. The best I can describe it is like the pain one gets when they stay in a dark room for a prolonged period of time and suddenly step outside into full sunlight.

So far, I have tried the following in order to correct the problem:

-adjusting/lowering different brightness/contrast/gamma settings ('text' setting is the most bearable but still causes issues)

-updating to a new computer/video card/increased RAM (only a very slight improvement)

-change room lighting (light/dark/different light source doesn't make much of a difference)

- adjusted screen height (lowered to "eye level/top of monitor" seems to help but not by much)

- change screen distance (not much effect)

-change DPI settings (not much effect)

Thank you for any help.
