VGA connector connected to Sanyo TV works fine.
Dell 1703FP connected through the DVI connection using cables that came with motherboard No Dell supplied cables.
issue will not let me open the OSD. can post a video but not until Monday
Full description of the problem
got this monitor from a friend. he had used it for about 2 years no problems. when i recieved it. I let my dad use it as a monitor for his laptop. worked great for about a year then one day the problem randomly started. my PC has 3 video inputs(vga, dvi, hdmi) have my TV connected through the VGA, connect the Dell monitor through the DVI input and set up the dual monitor with the TV as main Dell as secondary. I turn on the Monitor, the button turns green(indication that it is powered) it shows the extended desktop for approximately 1 second then screen goes black. power button remains green(still powered) computer still recognizes the monitor in the screen resolution area.
