Hello
I bought a Dell U2711 about 2 years ago from a reseller, aria.co.uk. I started getting an issue with blue vertical lines which would come and go. I eventually diagnosed as a fault of the monitor by trying different monitors and taking a screenshot of the fault but when I opened it on a different monitor it just showed the screenshot without the fault.
I contacted dell but they could not help as it does not have a service tag number. I contacted aria.co.uk to get the order number but they said they could not get it. They have had my monitor for over 3 weeks and yesterday said they have credited my account with £336, which I am disputing as I paid them £526 for the monitor. Can someone tell me a couple things...
Why would my monitor not have a service number on it?
Has it been imported or something?
What would dell's warranty cover in this situation?
Would they have fixed or replaced at home?
Since the U2711 is no longer available would they have replaced with U2713?
Any input greatly appreciated.
