Bought this monitor and unpacked yesterday, plugged into a brand new Mac Pro running a Dual FirePro D500 with the DP to miniDP cable that came with it... enabled the DP on the menu to run at full 4K @60HZ.
I'm experiencing a bunch of problems:
1) the monitor doesn't come back all the time from sleep
2) the left side of the screen will get a different hue than the right when switching color models from Adobe RGB to sRGB
3) the screen will flash white when installing software
4) the menu has a life on its own, sometimes it will come on, sometimes it won't until it's switched off and back on
I looked around and everybody is pointing at a firmware update from A00 to A01, and I have reached the call center SEVERAL TIMES today and they are completely useless:
1) whoever picks up needs a service tag (my monitor doesn't have one), and when you give them the SN or the DP/N they can't find anything so they don't know what to do and put you on hold forever, and send you back to the main line.
2) some others keep asking you which computer you are talking about, and when you tell them it's a monitor they can't get the idea of plugging a Dell monitor to a Mac and they simply hang up.
3) the woman I just spoke to, when I explained for the third time the whole thing, before even knowing which monitor she said that MONITORS DON'T NEED UPGRADES.
4) last guy connected me after several minutes on hold to the BASIC WARRANTY DEPARTMENT, which in turn, dropped the call
5) Haven't been able to connect since then, they all are clueless.
CAN anyone shed some light on this issue? Even on tweeter @Dell are clueless
