Not having best luck with Dell monitors. First, had to return my UP2414Q bought from Dell direct due to capacitive buttons not working at all, now I tried a different monitor U2413 and I am having a different problem.
The U2413 I bought from B+H, received a Feb 2014 revision A00 (seems recent enough?).
Problem 1: Best way to describe it, with the U2413 on black and dark grey backgrounds only, there are faint white vertical lines running up and down the entirety of the monitor, all the way across. These lines vary in width from 1mm-2mm, and are 100% static in nature. They are noticeable working on dark images and at the default brightness/video input screens, but seem to be less intrusive when brightness is turned down low, and do not appear visible on bright images. The lines are also present when no video cable is plugged in. Note that the UP2414Q did not have this problem, but its buttons did not work.
Problem 2: Dell calibration software does not recognize the U2413 as being plugged in to a USB port. The ports on the side of the monitor work fine, but no matter where I plug the monitor in on the back of the computer, USB2, USB3, motherboard ports, add-in card ports, etc - the Dell calibration software fails to detect the U2413.
I asked for a replacement and am hoping I can finally get a monitor (I actually wanted to get 2) that I can keep.
Has anyone else here experienced the vertical lines problem with their U2413? Thanks!
